How to Access a Patient's CareConnect Records
Use Aeon’s CareConnect Rapid Access to securely access a patient’s provincial health records directly from their chart.
🎓Training Tip: This feature allows practitioners to launch CareConnect directly from a patient’s chart, with demographics pre-populated. This cuts down wasted time and clicks.
Instructions
1. Click Patients in the left column
2. Open the appropriate Patient Profile
3. At the top right of the page, click CareConnect
At this point you are redirected to the BC Services Card Login.
4. Log in and access the records
Additional Information
- For information on CareConnect, and their security and privacy policies, refer to their website.
- The permissions to access the patient's information (Pracitioner vs Staff, etc.) is determined and managed by CareConnect.
- Sessions remain active for 4–8 hours.
- At this time, CareConnect does not currently support structured data integration. Therefore, the information in the CareConnect account is not synced to Aeon. You can only view it in CareConnect. If there are any files that you wish to be part of the Aeon record, you can upload them.
