# Staff Onboarding: The Basics

## This is a recording of a live session where you will create with the instructor as you learn about the core functionality in Aeon.

In this session we will create and use a fake patient "Mickey Mouse" to practice Aeon functionality.  Before you get started, please ensure that you've [accepted your Aeon Invite](https://help.aeon.health/how-to-accept-your-aeon-invite?hsLang=en).

📹The setup to watch and practice is to split your monitor into two windows (if wide enough), or **ideally use two monitors** - one with this video and the second with your own Aeon account.
