From there, staff can categorize each fax, link it to the correct patient record, and assign it to a practitioner for review, just like any other File. Outgoing faxes can be sent from multiple areas of Aeon, allowing you to manage referrals, prescriptions and external communications within your existing workflow. This integration streamlines document exchange with pharmacies, labs and other providers while supporting HIPAA/PHIPA‑aligned practices. Contact [Aeon Support](https://help.aeon.health/how-do-i-contact-aeon-support?hsLang=en)to discuss your options.   ---   ### Requirements - **Active SRFax Healthcare plan:** You must have an active SRFax account with a dedicated fax number before connecting it to Aeon. - You can either purchase a new number through SRFax or you can [port a number from another provider](https://www.srfax.com/porting-your-number-to-srfax/), but be aware that there is a delay (and a small cost) for this process. - **Business Associate Agreement (BAA):** SRFax operates outside of Aeon’s Business Associate Agreement. Healthcare organizations should request a separate BAA from SRFax to ensure HIPAA compliance. SRFax offers a BAA as part of its healthcare plans. - **SRFax account credentials:** You will need your SRFax Account Number, Fax Number (entered without spaces or dashes), Account Email and Password.
